I’m gonna DOORDASH!!
Well since retired in May I have kept pretty busy but not busy enough so I have decided to fill some hours every week with doing Doordash deliveries. I figure it’s a good way to keep busy and make a little bit of money.
I’m starting with Doordash to get a feel of the “ride share” delivery business but may branch out into other delivery services also. I don’t plan to ever do Uber, Lyft, or any other ride share that requires me to have people I don’t know ride with me. I haven’t made my first “DASH” yet since I am still waiting for some delivery bags to arrive. So I will probably start tomorrow (Friday) evening or on Sunday.
So if you are in the Lake, Geauga, or Cuyahoga county areas and order from Doordash, you might just have me delivering for you. Please leave a nice tip!!!
Since I have signed up I have been watching a bunch of YouTube videos about what I should expect and get some tips on how to increase my earnings. I also joined some Doordash facebook groups but I will tell you that the largest one that is simple called “Doordash Drivers” and has over 350,000 member is a waste of time. I haven’t seen any very good or useful information on the posts in this groups. I have posted some real questions about car insurance, banking, taxes, and other important subjects and no one replies. Also I have seen quite a few scammers and spammers in the group.
I think joining a local area Facebook Group is much better and there is one for Ohio Doordash Drivers that I think might be helpful.
